A Joyous Holiday London

1:34 PM

When I got out of Stansted Airport, London, on the evening of September 21, 2010, my daughter was Syazana smile to greet me. From there, they boarded a train to Liverpool and took a bus to Notting Hill Gate, arriving at her apartment in Cheniston Gardens, in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, close to 1:00

Our movement traveling was easy because his apartment is located right at 2 minutes walk to High Street Kensington Tube Station. Londoners called it "the tube" in which the main station stop is Paddington Station. In order to communicate with family and friends at home, I changed my SIM card to a local cell phone, called Orange.

While in London, my daughter took me to some Malaysian food restaurants, with the exception of the usual fast food companies. We had lunch twice in the canteen of Malaysia Hall in London is situated in Queensborough Terrace Bayswater area. We also ate at other restaurants in the areas of Bayswater and Paddington, as Bonda Cafe, Restaurant Tuk Din, Delima Restaurant, C & R Malaysian Cuisine and Khan. As it was Friday, my daughter and I could only go to the festival and enjoy the food varieties in Malaysia after my Friday prayers at the London Central Mosque located in Park Road, Regent Park. One evening we went for a walk on Westminster Bridge on River Thames. I used to read in a magazine stating Clock Tower (now known as Elizabeth Tower) is the world's most photographed structure.

Another favorite place for tourists and Londoners is Buckingham Palace, the official residence of Queen Elizabeth II. The guards, with red coats, made his test at headquarters before marching smartly to the palace. The spectators applauded strength and joy after stopping.

On September 27 we had our breakfast at a famous restaurant in front of our apartment, called The Muffin Man Tea Shop. Located at the corner of Wright and Gardens Lane Cheniston, this restaurant is famous for his sandwich and a cupcake. It was about thirty minutes by train from central London.

Greenwich is also popular as a university town. Normally tourists came into the world to visit Greenwich Meridian in the courtyard of the Royal Observatory. The Royal Observatory is home of Prime world's Meridian and Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). The Virgin with the train left Euston Station. The two-hour tour took us to Manchester Piccadilly Station after stopping in Stoke-on-Trent, Macclesfield and Stockport stations. We stayed at the Ramada Hotel, a short walk from the station. At night we enjoyed the food on Ning Malaysian Restaurant, located on Oldham Street.

After his return from Manchester, Amira had lunch at Satay House located on Place Salé, near Sussex Gardens. It is popularly known throughout the world that London is a shopping paradise. Most people go to Oxford Street and the nearby places like Knightsbridge, where Harrods. I tried to remember my first holiday in London in March 1986. The nearest underground station is Lancaster.

During the short stay we managed to Trafalgar Square, Oxford Street, Buckingham Palace, Soho and Little Venice visit. I remember seeing a poster for sale on the sidewalk with the words: "If you are tired of London, you're tired of life." Sure enough, I never tired to London!
