In recent years there has been a rapid increase in the popularity of river navigation and tourists looking for a more intimate and personal experience of large cruise ships. River cruises are also an efficient and very relaxing time to experience a number of cities, monuments and landscapes. One of the most popular river cruises along the Mekong River, the largest river in the world's twelfth, which flows through China, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, and is dotted with historical monuments and beautiful scenery. Below I have listed some of my best tips to cruise along the Mekong River from Cambodia to Vietnam.

Attractions

The Mekong River is full of historic sites and spectacular unique Mekong River cruise would be complete without a visit to the ancient city of Angkor. Start the day watching the sunrise over the majestic temple of Angkor Watt, and then the rest of the day exploring the many temples of this truly amazing place.

If you continue your journey to Vietnam, be sure to take the time to Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia to explore taking. I also visited the Genocide Museum Tuol slong and extermination camps. Although it is extremely worrying, give an excellent view of the horrors that the Cambodian people endured during the Khmer Rouge regime.

While entering his arrival in Vietnam, be sure to take the time to visit the famous Cu Chi tunnels for visiting. This vast underground network of tunnels stretching 200 miles and a base for the Vietcong army to the U.S. military to attack. The visit includes a tour of the tunnels, the examples of the nasal mantraps fatal and tunnels used to protect and even the opportunity to be part of the weapons used in the Vietnam War to shoot.
