Tips for holiday travel with your pet

Most people travel to your holiday and usually their families with them. There are some who simply can not live without their pets. If you travel with your pet has to plan ahead to make the trip enjoyable and comfortable for you and the animal.

· Travel by car

If you are on a road trip for the holidays, make sure you do not let your pet loose in your vehicle. A pet carrier is also a good idea, but can also be more expensive. Always put your pet in the backseat.

· Air

Take lots of pet food, you can never be sure whether your favorite brand of pet food will be available at your destination, so it's better to be safe.

· Feeding

If you fly, feed your pet a light snack 5-6 hours before departure. Do not give your pet any fluids two hours before departure. If you travel by car, do not try to feed your pet while you're on the move.

· Clearly mark

Whether you take your pet to national or international travel, it is better if you can attach an identification tag for your pet. The ID tag should include your address and phone number and the address of your destination and the phone number.

If you are visiting family, you must let them know that you bring your pet. If you are staying in a hotel, check the house rules and regulations regarding pets.

Also make sure that your pet is an express trip. Animals can more troubled children on long trips.
